These Terms apply to the BatchBite iOS app, provided by Cankola Builds. By downloading, purchasing, or using BatchBite, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple’s Standard EULA controls where required by Apple or applicable law.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. A parent or guardian must authorize use and purchase by anyone under the age of majority. BatchBite is not directed to children under 13.
2. License and acceptable use
Your license is personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and subject to Apple’s Standard EULA. You may use BatchBite only on Apple devices you own or control as Apple permits.
You may not reverse engineer or bypass entitlement checks except where law permits; violate law or another person’s rights; misuse support or attempt unauthorized access; distribute malicious code; or resell, sublicense, or copy BatchBite outside the Standard EULA.
3. Nutrition calculations and health disclaimer
BatchBite is a logging and arithmetic tool:
Results depend on the accuracy and completeness of the whole-batch totals, cooked weight, portion weights, edible yield, and other values you enter. Food composition and source information vary. BatchBite does not verify source nutrition values, provide medical or dietary treatment, diagnose a condition, or guarantee weight, fitness, or health outcomes.
Do not substitute BatchBite for a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional. Seek appropriate advice for medical conditions, pregnancy, eating disorders, medications, allergies, or specialized nutrition needs. Contact local emergency services in an emergency.
4. Subscriptions
BatchBite Pro is offered as auto-renewable monthly and annual subscriptions. There is no free trial unless App Store Connect and Apple’s purchase sheet expressly state otherwise.
- The App Store sheet shows the authoritative localized price and period before confirmation.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation.
- The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge renewal within that 24-hour window.
- Manage or cancel at Apple subscription settings.
- Restore an active purchase from BatchBite’s paywall or Settings.
- Apple handles refund requests. Deleting BatchBite does not cancel a subscription.
Current benchmark US prices are $9.99 monthly and $49.99 annually, but Apple’s purchase sheet controls your storefront and transaction.
5. Your content and local storage
You retain rights in the recipe, portion-name, batch, and nutrition content you enter. You grant BatchBite only the device-local permission needed to store, display, and calculate it. Cankola Builds does not receive or host that content in version 1.0.
You are responsible for source values and device backups you need. Local content can be lost if you delete it or the app, lose the device, restore without a usable backup, or encounter storage failure. BatchBite does not promise cloud recovery or multi-device synchronization.
6. Privacy and third-party services
The Privacy Policy explains local content, subscription processing, and support communications. BatchBite depends on Apple for distribution, payment, subscription management, and StoreKit transactions, and RevenueCat for subscription-entitlement processing. Service interruption may delay product loading, purchase confirmation, or restore.
7. Ownership, availability, and changes
BatchBite’s brand, software, design, and original content are owned by Cankola Builds or its licensors. Cankola Builds may correct bugs, improve features, change supported operating systems, or discontinue BatchBite, subject to applicable law and Apple’s subscription rules.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BatchBite is provided “as is” and “as available.” Cankola Builds disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and noninfringement, and does not warrant uninterrupted operation, preservation of local data, or that nutrition results satisfy a medical, dietary, or fitness requirement. Some jurisdictions limit these disclaimers.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cankola Builds is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, data or profit loss, or decisions made from nutrition entries. Aggregate liability relating to BatchBite will not exceed the greater of the amount paid during the 12 months before a claim or US $50. These limits do not apply where prohibited.
10. Termination and governing law
You may stop using BatchBite at any time; cancel a subscription separately through Apple. Access may be suspended for material misuse or as required by law or Apple. These Terms are governed by California law, excluding conflict-of-law principles, while mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply. Apple’s third-party-beneficiary terms also apply.
11. Changes and contact
These Terms may change as BatchBite changes. The effective date will be revised and notice provided where required.
